It's nice to see that phone card collecting is still alive and well. While not as popular in the US, it's thriving overseas and is really something people are doing for passion rather than profit. The primary means of exchange is done mostly through one for one trades but there are a few places that sell them as well.
Collectible Phone Cards are those primarily issued by the larger telcos and are generaly collected based on a theme. Some collect phone cards with butterflies, other with Mickey mouse and some just by country. Whatever your preference there is somone out there who can offer them to you. It's a fun hobby and I would recommend people to give it a try!

Ma Bell is on her way back!
With the news this week that the new at&t (SBC/AT&T) has submitted an intent to purchase Bell South, the telecom industry is one step closer to becoming a monopoly again. While I am exagerating a bit, this is still a significant move that will secure at&t with a huge piece of the pie. It is still too early to tell if this deal will go through and if it does what the impact will be but whatever happens it is deffinately a sign that the industry is hunkering down and trying to secure their profits in what has been a horroble industry for good margin products.
All I can say is consumers look out... your telecom bills may be going up!
